Waxing VS. Shaving

When it comes to grooming your intimate area, should you shave or should you wax?

The answer to this question may vary depending on the person’s preference and pain tolerance.

But which is really better? Do you want to taste the wrath of the strip or go for the blade?

One of the best ways to get rid of those unruly pubes, which are frequented by ladies today, is Brazilian waxing. A lot of women swear that it made them feel more comfortable and clean, while others simply cringe just the mere thought of it. And the very reason that they do is because of the pain.

Yes, a Brazilian wax, with its extensive hair removal ability, is a bit painful. However. some who are brave enough to go through Brazillian waxing say that the pain is worth it.

And they might be right for the reason that your pubic region does look much cleaner compared to getting it shaved. You avoid the nasty nicks, cuts, and scratches creating a smoother result. Adding to that, it takes longer for the hairs to grow back because you basically uproot the previous ones. And the ones that do grow in their place take on a finer texture.

However, you might have to wait until the hairs grow back to a certain length until you can wax it again because you do need hairs for the cloth to latch on to. And for the pain, most women advise that you can cut back on it by taking paracetamol before the treatment, or you could apply some numbing cream over the area.

Today, there are waxing kits available for you to use at home. But if you want to make sure that you get the professional touch, it may cost you a couple of bucks. But it is definitely worth it, especially with a good aesthetician. This also protects you from any accidents that would have you running to the ER for an embarrassing reason.

But if you want something immediate in the meantime, a shave would certainly be most convenient. All you need is just a clean trusty razor and some shaving cream, and voila! You can get hairless all on your own.

However, you can expect hair to reappear sooner; around a day or two for some. This is because you only cut a portion of the hair that is growing on top but only exclude the roots. That is why you have to do this more frequently compared to Brazilian waxing.

One problem with shaving is that it can also cause ingrown hairs. This can be painful and if not managed well enough it could lead to infections.

The nicks and cuts which are often unavoidable can also create aesthetic problems. So make sure that you shave carefully and that you should always use shaving cream to avoid harsh contact with your skin. So weigh in carefully and see which one is more economical and which one would give you the aesthetic results that you want.
